They don't mention OpenOffice They don't have to mention Ooo-- just provide the open source license agreement. Also, they may be using an older version of Ooo license that allows for more loopholes.
I have a feeling it's just a guy or 3 in a basement because the reply was instantaneous and whoever it was didn't seem like a typical customer service rep. He was a bit more knowledgeable than a typical customer service rep. Your most likely correct about this one. If they run ads on eBay they probably don't do much business. Not worth the legal hassle really.
