To clarify things a bit -- we release *source* and *binaries*. So, thinking that we aren't "releasing" this files is not correct. http://people.apache.org/~gerdogdu/staging-repo/OWB/1.0.0-M4/distribution/org/apache/openwebbeans/apache-openwebbeans/1.0.0-M4/apache-openwebbeans-1.0.0-M4-sources.zip or tar.gz is the most fundamental artifact the project is releasing. Our binaries are most often used, but they follow from the source. When verifying a release, I start from the source archives. So, what is the license covering these files? IIUC, they are AL2. Is there a NOTICE file? If so, then I believe we may need to update our NOTICE file. If there isn't a NOTICE file, then we may be ok... --kevan
