At what point do we come to a conclusion? Personally, I think we should
close the poll in 48 hours time.
The conclusion I would come to is that there isn't sufficient support
for a change to the current lists.
There does seem to be strong agreement that topics of interest to users
of the software would be better discussed on a list that users can be
reasonably assumed to be subscribed to.
The points of disagreement is really whether a dev list is needed or
whether it just causes confusion and
So though there are some different views on the ideal situation - mainly
around what different people feel seems most logical, most conventional,
least confusing etc - I think there is a pragmatic path to improvement:
use the user list unless you have a good reason not to. (And assume
there is no need to cross-post!)
