Im not sure I understand your question.

I believe the dev list here is rather open to the types of discussion we
were having about struts-ajax. It is not my intention to halt that
discussion, my point is that I believe Franks initial question was
answered, and it is time to begin a discussion, whether that is here, or
between those interested in a personal email with cc's, on how to move
forward with it.

Perhaps I was a bit blunt in my QA style reply, but I believe the
concensus is that:

1) We really don't know how the community as a whole (the users of
struts that is) would respond to a struts-ajax integration. Perhaps the
user list is a place for that question to be asked so that we can get a
feel on if it is worth the effort of starting a project somewhere.

2) The project will not - at least at this point - be included in any
official apache offerings, or hosted on their svn repository. Which led
me to say we should look into some other venue for hosting such a
project. Sourceforge is a perfect place for that. Heck I would be
willing to open my cvs at my server to host it, but it is sort of up and
down as lately I have been losing DSL about 2 times a week. Not to
mention of course if it took off my DSL provider would probably scream
at me for operating a "business" :)

I'm all for the discussion, but simply saying "come on people Frank is
on to something" does none of us any good. Especially when it is just
comments that aren't even necessarily about the original proposal. (As
with any discussion the subject tends to remain the same and the content
shifts)

What about the discussion of how to provide a managed environment that
encourages rather than punishes participation, Allan. Any interest in
that question, or are we doing a medical test of people knee
reactions? ///-)
