Currently plugin not in maven tree because check-style given
error. But plugin can build and run without errors.
Why don't you try to develop without including in your project
syncope sources?
It should be enough to specify the parent.
Checkstyle can be disabled for your project; you could add the
following property into your pom.xml:
<properties>
...
<checkstyle.skip>true</checkstyle.skip>
...
</properties>
