On hijacking, I think your single sentence communicated a lot more in your head 
than was actually said :)  I beg your patience :)

“Why not 7.0” or “What about 7.0” are fair questions.  But I see your goal a 
little clearer — some way to get a TomEE version of Tomcat 8.5 out the door.

Let’s get some feedback.
