Users think of OOo in terms of applications - the icons they click on from the "Start" button. If you look at the help system, this is how we present the content: Basic, Calc, Base, Draw, Impress, Math, Writer. So this is what I mean by 'standalone' - it is how we have chosen to bundle functional elements (like charting) into applications that users can relate to. I'd be interested to see a table that showed "functions" down the side, and "where used" across the top...
