Hi Kay,

The pages you created [3,4] are already a improvements over the current
about and new user pages [1,2]... but I think there is still much room for
greater improvement... :o I think you(/we) should consider not creating
the new about page based on the current about page...

I think you should try and optimize, or create a new page, the page
further and try to accomodate for (the good old) linear reading. It is now
set up as a kind of definition list, it is still not a coherent story that
is really nice to read. I´d prefer a much more linear story...

I´d skip the detail about the different types of projects, maybe mention
them, but don´t specify them as thoroughly as done currently.

Additionally, instead of editing about and new separately, I'd probably
try to merge the new user and about pages. The new homepage won´t have a
new user button anymore, so this page gets hidden away from the target
group. The target group of this page doesn't know that much about OOo, and
should be able to access it quite easily. Maybe you could integrate the
neccessary parts of the current about page into the new user page as you
created it, and make that the new about page.

Do you like to edit it on the wiki? I believe it is an easier place to
develop content, e.g. at:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Website/Content/about

Also, we should structure the page using semantic headings <h1>,<h2>,
etc., not just bold text.
