I tested it with the local judge of all things aesthetic--my lovely
wife--and her reaction was an enthusiastic "I like it!" And I do too.

So, I am happy with presenting this to the Community Council for final
review and going live with it soon, once all the other CSS issues are
resolved, so that issue tracker, mail list page and so on, work fine.
(present for review, first, and in the meantime fix issues, I mean.)
