Hi,
An update. I didn't have that much of time anymore... last saturday the
website was so slow that I wasn't able to accomplish that much. And
today I had other things planned.
In response to John, it is intended to replace all websites, but we can
apply the new styling to only a selection of subdomains, if required.
Tomorrow I might find some time though. An overview of the current issues:
ISUES:
* Download button should appear in page after clicking on the download
action statement [MEDIUM] -> Somewhat ok, but I think it needs to get
the appearance of a green box... but can do as it is now.
* Additionally we need some CSS for the side bar that matches the new
template. [MEDIUM] -> Failed to do so...
* Optimize for IE6 [CAN BE HARD; quick alternative is only displaying
search for IE6, can improve later] -> Andre?
* Make sure applications (e.g. issuezilla) look good again [MEDIUM] ->
Started this... but need to review it... removed too much possibly...
* Implement language switch -> (Frank Mau, could you make an automatic
link to the detected language?), otherwise link to
http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html , or dropdown
(has someone already created this, for quick copy paste?)
* Text needs to be centered a bit more, and larger for improved reading
* Test all available browsers, and more pages.

* Implement icons (not Galaxy) [MEDIUM] -> Done
* (too) large empty spaces on the homepage [NOFIX] -> We are not going
to make the site different from
http://www.patentpending.co.nz/openoffice/
* Link Content -> resp. why, support, download, extensions.services,
contribute [NOBRAINER] -> simply make the hrefs work
* Improved content for links (see wiki) [LATER] -> too little time now,
although I did include my proposed support page (with still many links
to the wiki)
* The sidebar needs to be removed from the first page [NOBRAINER]
* Temporary news replacement
