I'd like to implement the one-click button on the homepage, too.

BTW, 2.4 has been delayed about a week. Ugh. But that means we can show 2.4 and the new homepage at the same time, either combining confusion or making big splash :-)

But either way, having fun.

* Optimize for IE6 [CAN BE HARD; quick alternative is only displaying
search for IE6, can improve later] -> Andre?
* Improve styling of p, h1 and other default elements

Left navigation bar? That seems a problem.

__(imho) Resolved____

* Implement icons (not Galaxy) [MEDIUM] -> Done
* (too) large empty spaces on the homepage [NOFIX] -> We are not going to make the site different from
http://www.patentpending.co.nz/openoffice/

sigh. It only really obtains on Mac machines.... it seems.

* Link Content -> resp. why, support, download, extensions.services, contribute [NOBRAINER] -> simply make the hrefs work

Yes, I'll dive into this, but others free, too.

* Improved content for links (see wiki) [LATER] -> too little time now, although I did include my proposed support page (with still many links to the wiki)
* The sidebar needs to be removed from the first page [NOBRAINER]

Right.

* Temporary news replacement

K.

* Make sure applications (e.g. issuezilla) look good again [MEDIUM] - > Done, simply imported parts of inst and tigris http://test.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList and

Ah, yes, that was what I referred to above. Looks good here is crucial. Most of the developers will hit Issue tracker not the homepage and will critique the new design on this, not what we want. The issue tracker pages must thus look good. Likewise, the mail list page.

* Text needs to be centered a bit more, and larger for improved reading

Aye.

__Resolved, but could use some attention____
* Implement language switch -> Only quick fix (Frank Mau, could you make an automatic link to the detected language? otherwise dropdown (has someone already created this, for quick copy paste?)
* Additionally we need some CSS for the side bar that matches the new
template. [MEDIUM] -> Now similar to current one (quick fix), but needs static width

Can this be done easily?

* Test all available browsers, and more pages.

Thanks again!

Would it make sense to set aside a day/night for bugfixing? If so, I'd suggest tomorrow (Wednesday) and virtual beer guaranteed :-) But we can get all on IRC and just steam through remaining bugs....

Ciao
