yes, this is a REAL irritation and one I was trying to deal with a while
back. I ran into a lot of problems with (now) various jres.Maybe a
simpler solution is to add a little link to the DL button that directs
users to the general DL page so they choose a version without the JRE.
I'll put a mock up of this up early next week. I really sympathize with
this person.
