Hi all, As some of you know, we have our periodically updated and always useful to some contacts page, www/www/contact.html or http://www.openoffice.org/contact.html.
Well, it's static HTML. Okay, but the problem is that when people send webmasters mail, they usually have only a few questions (same ones, over and over again) for which the same answers usually obtain. Sophie G. and I, along with Stefan, have patiently replied to most of these questions, usually with boilerplate. But there is really no reason why there should be a human involved at this point at all. Humans should only intervene, I suggest, when its needed. So my query: I would like to see if we can fully automate the responses to most of the queries. I can supply the boilerplate. And we could even localize the questions and answers (a better FAQ, say). For those queries that are not covered by the automations, then I'm happy to respond like a living human, which I've been assured I am.
