Well, it's static HTML. Okay, but the problem is that when people
send webmasters mail, they usually have only a few questions (same
ones, over and over again) for which the same answers usually obtain.
Sophie G. and I, along with Stefan, have patiently replied to most of
these questions, usually with boilerplate.
But there is really no reason why there should be a human involved at
this point at all. Humans should only intervene, I suggest, when its
needed.
At least, all the mails containing the key word: registration,
registering, password, login, logon, servlet error containing
PasswordEdit, or the usual known insults ;) would remove half of the
traffic from the list.
So my query: I would like to see if we can fully automate the
responses to most of the queries. I can supply the boilerplate. And
we could even localize the questions and answers (a better FAQ, say).
it would be great really. Yesterday for example, the list receive around
20 mails, most of them with the same topic.
For those queries that are not covered by the automations, then I'm
happy to respond like a living human, which I've been assured I am.

But I don't have the time and I cannot think of anyone else who does
(Sophie, she tells me, has a life) to answer the same question,
again, again, again.
May be one day, the whole planet will know that you do not have to
register to download our product ;)
