Github user jeffsteinmetz commented on the pull request: https://github.com/apache/incubator-zeppelin/pull/208#issuecomment-189133244 Nothing I need pre-merge. I was mainly curious how close this was to working end to end. I wasn't familiar with the pre-merge / post-merge expectations and assumed that a PR was meant to be a complete working merge. I now see @bzz recommended keeping the distribution updates as a separate PR. I did notice that the maven build creates a new `R` directory in the root of the source tree. Is that as expected? Curious how `SPARK_HOME` is used - is this ENV path used to find this `R` directory? From what I understand, `SPARK_HOME` is meant to point to the full binary release of a standalone or cluster installation of spark (outside of the zeppelin installation location).
