Just sharing some of my views.

My motivation to work on Adium is due to bug fixing. "Scratching an
Itch". That's also how most of us start programming in a large
project.

Luckily, Adium is written mostly using Cocoa.

The open source projects on the Mac/iPhone platform using Cocoa have
the most readable and understandable source code, I ever known in my
lifetime.
