Welcome aboard - There's always room for more developers! And the more activity 
there is, the more interest usually..

I can only recommend that you find a feature/bug that you would like to 
create/fix on the trac, and start digging in. At the current state, the 
development is going very slowly, so you shouldn't be so scared about working 
on a bug that others have tagged as theirs.

If you'd like help, or just some counceling, I recommend that you join us on 
IRC, in #adium-devl on Freenode.net. Usually the activity is highest when it is 
daylight in America.
