I'm not Graeme, but I've been working with IMAP a bit recently,
mostly using Outlook. IMO, both Outlook and OLE have serious mis-
features relating to address handling (for example, if you choose a name
from your address book, it doesn't show the address, and it
mangles "From" addresses on many mailing lists), and I can't stand the
way they handle message quoting for replies and forwards. OTOH, I'd been
wanting to start using PGP, and there are PGP plugins for both (though
the one for OLE bites).
Netscape, which I'd been using for years as a POP client, does also
support IMAP, but I don't know how well.
I've heard very good things about a commercial IMAP client called
Mulberry, FWIW, but I've never looked at it either. Under Linux, there's
always Pine, but if you want a GUI client, the current version of kmail
(under KDE) supports IMAP as well.
