Another user-case-

I run Freenet on both my laptop, and my Home machine. My home machine
is double-natted, on a VERY dynamic IP address- It's on a assigned
192.* address, that's forwarding to a 10.0.* address, that's
forwarding to a Dynamic IP Verizon DSL address.

I run Terminal Services server on my Desktop (Like VNC), so I can log
into it from anywhere, to see how websites look in Windows.
I've run DynDns before, but lately, I find it simplier to fire up
Freenet on my laptop, and let it connect, and fetch the ARK for my
desktop.
I then copy and paste the IP address from there, to my Terminal
Services client.

But even through all this, I still need to set up port forwarding
through multiple NATs- And it only works for the ports I've
specifically set up.
If Freenet had Hamachi-style functionality, I could use that to
connect to Terminal Services on my desktop. I could also use it to
connect to the SSH server on my desktop, and to play a multiplayer
game against my girlfriend, who is sitting at the desktop.

It lets me utilize that machine as if I were plugged into it
directly, without exposing that machine to strangers, via a DMZ.

That's VERY useful, and definitely establishing manual darknet
connections for, even if Opennet existed.
