Andy,

Glad to know that you are visiting Ghana soon. My organization is looking into
the viability of VoIP in African countries as another means of contributing
towards the socio-economic development of African countries. Could you please
find out what the Ghanaian government's policy on VoIP use in Ghana is? I hope
there would be some DDN members to feed you with a lot more info. Thanks!

Living in Petriensa will present you the opportunity of life in rural Ghana as
against Accra or Kumasi. Kumasi, the second biggest city after Accra, is also
the cultural center of Ghana and visiting there, and may be meeting with the
Asantehene, the great king of the Ashanti Kingdom, will provide you another
life time experience. Since it's just about 40 minutes from Petriensa, I hope
your host, Dr. Osei Darkwa will arrange for that visit if at all possible. Till
then we would be awaiting your safe return and a good report. Have fun and
enjoy your trip!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to send out a note to DDN members who happen to reside in Ghana;
I'll be in Ghana from July 17 to July 26 to conduct research for the book I'm
editing on the telecentre movement. I'll be splitting most of my time between
Accra and Patriensa, with a possible visit to Kumasi as well.

I don't have my full itinerary yet, but I'm hoping I'll have some free time to
get together with local DDN members if anyone would like to say hello in
person. So if you're in Ghana, please send me an email off-list so we can see
if we can meet up during my visit.

thanks,
ac
