Some of my on-the-air contacts in Oliva show that a few people are now talking aobut a possible "standard" if we could call it that. They are saying the "preference" for Olivia mode is tending towards 500/8 for domestic QSO's with in continent, and 500/16 for DX QSO's. I have not seen anything on the various Yahoo groups about that yet.
Are you hearing anything like this? I think the 500 Hz wide versions of Olivia are fun, and work very well on 80 and 40 M and I've even run into a fella on 500/8 at my dial setting of 14.079 KHz.
