I can add to Tony's advocacy. Usually, when I hear RS-ID tones on-air it is usually someone from this group (Rick, Tony, John, Sholto, etc). Last night, I heard a lone Olivia station on 20M. My first guess and to what Olivia variant was being used turned out to be wrong. Then, as the person CQ's again, he used RS-ID and my Multipsk software automatically detected it and switched to the correct mode. The other ham was using Fldigi. It sure makes things much easier
