On top of the helpful comments below, here's some more information on the
process.

If you send in a registration that does not comply with the DENIC
conditions, they will still register the domain. You will have 30 days from
the date of registration to fix the problems. The domain will be deleted if
the requirements are not fulfilled within those 30 days.

If you have updated your nameserver setup, you will have to inform the
DENIC. This can either be done from the RWI if you query the domain in the
"view domain" field. You will the see a link to 'active' the domain. A
similar option is displayed in the MWI.
