Thanks for bringing this up. I like it. I put a cc license on my thesis covering free culture issues, but was just thinking that licensing your class papers is a good way to show your professors you're engaged in thinking about critical issues outside the immediate subject of each paper. It's spreading awareness as well. As much as I often try to hope otherwise, most people, even teachers, don't think about copyright much at all in relation to their day-to-day activities.
