Sorry for jumping in with possibly stupid questions here (I'm from the
Linux world,
but I do have a huge interest in the Solaris kernel :).
Is there any distintions between <Subject>? Is everyone doing all
three, parts of them,
etc? A friend of mine here at work and I is trying to figure out what
Illumos is actually
trying to do, but we can't seem to get any good/real answers on the
site (nor did I get
any good one from igor in private conversation)...
The site is even quite confusing, talking about a bunch of distributor
'makers' and then
Nexenta in the mix (that basically only uses The Kernel (TM)) and then
continues talking
about the Illumos dist... Which doesn't seem to be a dist, but part of
a dist that will
be a dist... Well, you can see my confusion here... :)
