Indeed. ZFS replicating (and rollbacking) VBoxes does also work - likewise as a 
reset if done in-flight, but there are documented hoops to jump through 
regarding changing of disk uuids, vnic MACs (oh, and adding the vnics on host), 
etc. No voodoo, but non-null work either.

My scriptware can helps the snapshot usecase by save-to-disk support when 
stopping/starting the smf service ;)
