Does hardware RAID 6 make sense or is it better to have JBOD and RAIDZ2 instead?
If hardware RAID 6 makes sense, does one run RAIDZ on top? What HBAs are known to work? The HCL seems to only list cards which are quite old and most are SAS rather than SATA.
