Will B., good points, but I think you're focusing the criticism solely on Twitter as a medium for communicating thoughts and ideas. What about Twitter as a medium for connecting to other people and building relationships? I've been able, and in fact encouraged, to have personal conversations with people that I never would have otherwise. That is a result that simply can't be denied. The value of the actual conversation might be negligible, but the relationship is priceless.
