I have to wonder what you actually have time to reflect upon, as you're always burning the candle at both ends trying to finish projects. CMU is chock full of amazing resources, but it seems like the one-year HCI students never have time to go to talks, browse the libraries, etc.

The two-year degree at CMU gives you a bit more room to work/think. It's still hard as hell, but at least you have a chance to take an elective or two and hang out or go to talks.
