Tony, Sounds like a great project.
So, what's the organization's rationale - or even hunch - for preferring to go with NMOH? What's your user research/testing telling you-all so far? I hesitate to "me too" this one, without knowing who the target users and the org's main goals of the site are. Plus, is this the same initiative as http://www.hiphoparchive.org? as the Hip Hop Museum Project? if not, might NMOH be trying to clearly differentiate between themselves and http://www.hiphoparchive.org? Without having knowledge of the above, we're projecting individual preferences, and speculating about others'. Same thing that makes us pull out our hair when a business lead "just knows" something. So, some devilish advocy: I'm used to acronyms for museums, esp those with National in the title. Maybe they're going for an official sound? -- and wanna make sure their brand never doesn't include "National"? Plus it's possible someone more clever that me could make NMOH into a memorable, resonant hip hop brand. Finally, it's not impossible for acronyms to catch on: MOMA, MTV, BET...KRS|ONE, NWA, WUTANG, even OPP ;) Susan On Mon, Feb 8, 2010 at 12:23 PM, Anthony Zeoli <a...@digitalstrategyworks.com>wrote: > Hi everyone: > > Over the past 9-months, I've been assisting the National Museum of Hip-Hop > with their web site and social media presence.
