The HFIDo (Human Factors in Info Design Organization) at Bentley, in addition to many of the aforementioned activities, often holds design challenges. As in, they come up with a design challenge (sometimes re-design, sometimes problem-solving), and there's a sort of competition amongst the members to come up with the best ideas/designs/prototypes/etc.
