On the "What does LOPSA provide me" comment, I would say that a large reason people pay for SAGE-AU membership is to get access to the mailing list.
i.e. I would suggest the same for LOPSA. Make the ability to post questions to the LOPSA mailing lists a members-only benefit. Make quick access to the LOPSA talent pool a scarce resource. Not sure if access to the mail archives should be members-only or not.
