Yay ! I've proved to myself. a) The Squeezecontroller is capable of controlling the Denon Receiver b) I can write it !
I've hacked the Doomsday demo app to mute and un-mute the amplifier using http commands. So I can presumably expand from there to full one way functionality. Ideally I'd liked to switch from using HTTP to using plain TCP so I could use the telnet commands and receive back status information to theoretically display on the remote.
