Not if you enable it as a player and then select it as a player. I forget the exact menu path, but it's Settings > Advanced > then either Audio Playback or Beta Features.
Note that (a) SBC playback is a beta feature and not advertised to work, and (b) it was actually working better for most people under 7.3 then it is now under 7.4.
