Another option is wireless headphones connected to any Squeezebox, then control it with either iPeng or the Duet Controller. I do this once in a while. Not sure how it compares to an FM transmitter for quality, interference, or range. For me it's more reliable than using headphones with the Controller, but it's been a while since I've tried that.
