Took a while (5 hours) for foobar to scan my collection and generate the Album and track gain values. (Only 3200 tracks, though I only have an old Pentium 4 processor!) However, inital testing suggests that it has done a good job. I do get the impression that foobar is a very competent piece of software though, as you say, not terribly inutitive for the newbie. Think I will perserve with it. :-)
