I've seen those warnings back when I used to work in Indiana from time to time.
Here in Germany we are one step beyond that: We have weather excuses. Just heard a comment on the radio that due to the "early winter" (you can _bet_ on the last week of November being cold in Germany, it's the same _every_ year. Christmas will be warm and wet then), German Railways now has trouble keeping their schedules. I happened to travel across Germany today. There has been a cloudless sky with around -3°C and around 5cm (2") of snow.
