"Supporting" the other services means Logitech and the service provider (and the record companies) coming to a business agreement to extend the service to Squeezeboxes. These agreements also tend to be country-specific because of music licensing. Logitech has made agreements with the other services. Why not Microsoft? I'm not privy to the negotiations, but I expect it's some combination of the reasons you give.
