I sent you an eMail on this same subject. The latest version(s) of
Squeezepad treat the volume control differently than prior versions
based upon whether the audio of the player is set to a fixed volume or
not. The action when not a fixed volume is the desired action and is
what Logitech has implemented for both scenarios in its app.

When set to a fixed volume, which is needed for encoded material such as
DTS tracks, The current implementation only allows for tapping the end
points of the volume slider and even then it is a very sporadic
operation. The action when not set to a fixed volume allows dragging
with a very smooth result. There should be no difference.

Logitech (actually Slim Systems) went out of their way several years ago
when I was working with them on encoded music tracks. The intent was to
have a complete pseudo volume available so that the values could be used
to control an audio processors volume. That still operates correctly.
What is not working is the adjusting of the volume when set to fixed
volume. In fact it is just the implementation of the taps instead of
the smooth drag that is causing me the problem.

It seems that if the volume is set to its prior value (last session),
then the first tap seems to reset it to cause the server to issue a
pseudo volume of 100%. Good thing I have Max volume limits set in my
Audio processor!!!

Until this is fixed I can not use Squeezepad to play encoded music.
