Yes. Actually all of what you write would be the behavior I would expect and want. Unfortunately, it's not what I've been seeing recently when I had SqueezePlayer running all night even though I didn't touch my Nexus and it was not connected to external power. It doesn't happen all of the time (around 1 out of 3 times I open OrangeSqueeze, I would say), but often enough to be my primary source of power drain on my Nexus.
I don't know whether this is caused by OS or SP, can I do anything to help diagnose.
