I have a Touch feeding into a Benchmark DAC2, and with RCA barely can tell a difference. If there is one it is certainly not worth $1.5k I'd say, but everybody's mileage varies. The main reason why I use the Benchmark is because through balanced connections to the amp I indeed hear a tad less hiss, and especially because the Benchmark allows me to connect several other sources to it and acts as a preamp. With the Touch I'd need some other way of consolidation sources into the power amp. ...pablo Server: Virtual Machine running Ubuntu 12.04 + LMS 7.7.3 on VMware Player System: SB Touch --optical->- Benchmark DAC2HGC --AnalysisPlus Oval Copper XLR->- Creek Destiny Power Amp --AnalysisPlus Black Mesh Oval->- KEF LS50 Other Rooms: 2x SB Boom; 1x SB Radio; 1x SB Classic-> MusicalFidelity M1PWR -> Totem DreamCatcher ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102274 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
