I take your point about HanDBase.

You -can- use mp3tag to generate a csv but you have to load your entire
library into first so it takes ages and the output is every artist
(including those on compilations) not every album

There must be some SQLite Browser that can interrogate the db and output
into csv but I haven't found one yet.
