First of all, congrats to the SD team! It is a challenge to find an exit strategy that preserves the value of the Intellectual Property that you have created.
In my limited experience in M&A, I have learned that there are dozens of factors that determine the outcome of an acquisition. The two most important in my experience are: 1. Developing a plan for the integration of the new company into the parent. From the channel strategy to shared resources to personnel policies to reporting structure to success metrics. The more complete the plan, the better your chances of success. Ill bet that Logitech did a reasonable job here. 2. Actually implementing that plan. This is where most acquisitions fall apart. My humble advice to the SD team is to watch this like a hawk. Otherwise, as soon as the key-individual period runs out, youll be gone. -- Bob Bressler Bob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bob Bressler's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2217 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28821 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
