Sorry, to quote one of the characters out of "Little Britain", (I don't know if that has crossed the Atlantic yet) I got myself into a bit of a kerfuffle! I have two links - one on the desktop which loads the skin I've edited (only minor, but it means they don't get overwritten on a point release without me realising it), and another one in the favorites menu to load the unmolested skin. I was looking at the browser loaded from favorites and not the desktop. It has fixed those "onchange" issues you have open in bugzilla for the N800 though... I couldn't vind a way to look at the headers, do tell.
