We're looking to phase out our Sparc-based systems with x86 and Linux. At the same time, we're moving from a few larger systems to a bunch more 1U systems.
I've got a fair amount of experience with Dell's PowerEdge systems. We have very good reps, and have had very good experience with their support response times. The hardware and the performance of that hardware has been excellent as well. OpenManage is nice, but their DRAC's have been flaky at times. HP is trying hard to get their foot in the door. I have no experience with their hardware in the last 10 years, but their iLOM and Insight stuff looks pretty cool. Does anyone have any pros/cons when comparing the two vendors? Anything to watch out for? Thanks, Justin
