Tim, what you fail to realize is it's not so much your critical
comments of Apple. I agree they could have done more way back when,
they could do more now, and they can do more in the future. There's no
disagreement there. Your comments was basically stating that iTunes is
inaccessible and that simply is false. Itunes as a program is overall
quite accessible and is one hell of a step forward considering where
it was a little over a year or so back. I agree the store is a real
problem and there's no doubt in my mind that Apple is aware of it and
will do something at some point. It's unfortunate it won't get done as
soon as any of us would like. Then you go on to basically say in so
many words that because we're blind, we're easily lied too and we'd
take it. Now that my friend is absolute bull crap and if you truly
believe that, then I feel for you. I think in general blind people are
no different in this regard than sighted people. I personally could
care less if you love or hate the Mac, iTunes or anything else. In the
end you use what gets the job done, that is what is important. It's
just the entire thread has run off the rails and statements are being
made that simply aren't true. I would not have chimed in otherwise,
but for anyone new and reading this needs to have the facts and your
statements simply do not reflect the true facts.
Tim, I never said you had anything personally against the Mac or Apple
and in fact I again, do not care. I think Apple deserves to be
recognized for what they have accomplished thus far because it's a
damned sight better then it ever has been and there is simply no
denying that fact. I as a Mac user have no need to defend Apple, I
purchased the Mac because I wanted something other than Windows and I
do not regret the switch, but then I also had been using Linux for
about five or six years prior to switching so wasn't using Windows in
any event. I think or at least hope we understand each other despite
our difference of opinion. Hey we can agree to disagree and ain't that
a wonderful thing?

Let me just say a few things. I have not like some of you perceive

quite silly sometimes about their defense of the Mac, for example,
you seem to think I have some kind of personal grievance against
Apple. You couldn't be more wrong. I just happen not to agree with
you about all of the plaudits you are giving Apple. I like what
Apple is doing, but I have to ask, why did it take them so long to
start? Ever since I started working with the LISA you could see
that Apple's equipment had great potential for accessibility.
Instead of putting a lot of time and effort into making their
systems accessible they chose to only give this a minimal effort and
were almost put out of business by Microsoft. Now, I'm not saying
that was the only mistake Apple made. To my mind they made a lot of
bonehead mistakes that caused their problems. Now, back to the
Itunes thing that seems to have gotten your bowels in an uproar. I
simply stated that it wouldn't be hard for Apple to fix Itunes so
that every time Itunes was updated you didn't have to get sighted
help to click on the button to agree to the Itunes store terms.
Calm down and take a stress pill. I won't be publicly critical of
Apple again on this list if it gets you'll so upset, although the
