I have a site I am working on where the main language is Japanese. When I tried to order the fields in my form on http://goeigo.org/loc/tokyo/nakano/ by their Japanese name, it doesn't put them in the right order. It sorts it, but it is in a strange unhelpful kanji order.
How does ordering() order Japanese Unicode text? and, wow can I get it to follow the standard Japanese Order? Can ordering be language specific? Cheers, James Hancock FWI if your curious. Japanese people don't order A-Z instead they use hiragana or Katakana letter Hiragana あいうえお A I U E O かきくけこ KA KI KU KE KO さしすせそ SA SHI SU(SI) SE SO たちつてと TA CHI TU TE TO なにぬねの NA NI NU NE NO はひふへほ HA HI(HE) FU HE HO まみむめも MA MI MU ME MO and so on. <http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Japanese_alphabet_a_to_z_in_order#ixzz1A9DDlUyT> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
