Except of course for all of the people who don't look at all the crud in
their spam folder.  They're not likely to write about messages they don't
see.  If it's in the spam folder, for a whole lot of people it might as
well be discarded.

Um, what? The topic at hand is a desire for senders to know when their mail isn't going where they want it to.
