Yeah.. that's one thing about ACID.. If u take a drum kick from a hip hop track, and then put it into ACID.. It will be automaticly pitched up to the tempo u are working on..
No such thing in Cubase  :(

K check it man. I have been using ACID for drum tracks. I make the beat using one shots then I use the mix to new track to make it in to 1 track( just for easy mixing). For example check out this track I did using the tecnique I just talked about...

http://www.acidplanet.com/Lounge/Detail.asp?PID=166861 I hope this helps man. I had a really bad time with drums also. When I started using ACID my drums are dead no every time now. listen closely thanks to ACID even the reversed snares and cymbols are 100% on time... Use the "snap to"  feature... I can make sweet beats now in 1/4 th the time now then before. Also Reason is great for drums too.

The best thing to do is set up a standard kick and snare pattern and quantize it perfectly...
Then nudge the hits fractionaly one way or the other......
If you play around with this idea of adding timing differences to each hit you will be able to change the perceived speed of the break without changing the actual tempo...

actually,i think it's just the placement of the snares
and kicks thats throwing it off in time, and i was
hoping to find a few tips on getting them either
tighter in the sequencer,or any placement techniques
at all...sequencer and soundcard are all perfect, i
tried them with a standard 4/4 beat and the timing is
right on...

john
p.s.thanks for replying...
