Thanks all for the responses :) you took the words right out of my mouth!

People want security to be a no-brainer, for you to eliminate any fear that
something will go wrong when their visitors are hitting a secure site.

This translates into a few things, some will apply to your customers, some
will not, but reasons I have heard over the years are:
- no error on loading of a page
- cert from a company they recognize and trust
- easy renewal so that their site never goes unprotected
- and from the reseller side, a central place to manage certs and renewals,
and easy to install on their servers

How and why you offer certain types of certificates is certainly a decision
you each will make, and I appreciate the frank comments on the list, and I
am keeping notes :)
